About Us

In the Spring of 2004, the Wittenberg family bought the facilities, and in March, major renovations and upgrades took place. Pipes, flooring, ceiling panels, electrical, and much more was reworked. The original store was a dull blue, and over the next few months was replaced with a nice tan along with red trim to give it an updated look. It took 6 long months, hundreds of hours, and required the help of several people, but after months of work it was finally opened to the public.

The store was opened to the public on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 for the first time. Vendors started signing up and offering merchandise within the first few days. While many were local, some were from over 50 miles away. During the first few months, the mall was already half full. After a full year, it was almost at capacity. In May 2006 the rear section of the store was opened as a dedicated furniture room, further expanding the store.

As a historical note, the picture at the bottom is what the previous store looked like which was built in the 19th century. The front door on the original building is in the same location as ours. It was destroyed shortly before this new store was built.
